ARO-The Scientific Journal of Koya University, a highly esteemed, double-blind peer-reviewed, and open-access scientific journal, is currently inviting applications from distinguished researchers and academicians to join our international Editorial Board.

As an indexed journal (Scopus, Web of Science - ESCI), ARO is committed to publishing high-quality, impactful research. We welcome research across a broad spectrum of disciplines, including Science, Engineering, Humanities, and Social Sciences, with a specific focus on Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology, and Chemical Engineering.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Peer Review Management: Oversee the double-blind peer review process for assigned manuscripts.
  • Quality Assurance: Evaluate scientific merit, originality, and ethical compliance adhering to COPE guidelines.
  • Journal Promotion: Actively promote ARO within professional networks and encourage high-quality global submissions.
  • Strategic Input: Provide feedback and strategic suggestions to enhance the journal's scope, reach, and impact.
Eligibility Criteria

To ensure the continued rigor and international reputation of ARO, applicants must meet the following baseline requirements:

Academic & Research Track Record:
  • Academic Rank: Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer or Postdoctoral Researcher.
  • Publication Volume: Minimum of 10 peer-reviewed publications in indexed journals.
  • Authorship: First author on at least 4 papers and corresponding author on at least 2 papers.
  • High-Impact Research: At least one publication in a journal with an Impact Factor ≥ 5 (as first or second author), and at least one publication cited 100+ times on Google Scholar.
  • Impact Metrics: H-index ≥ 5 on Scopus or Web of Science.
  • Recent Activity: Evidence of recent research activity (at least one publication in the last two years) and at least one published preprint.
Editorial Experience & Skills:
  • Previous Roles: Proven history of peer-reviewing and prior editorial roles for major publishers (e.g., Elsevier, Springer Nature, Wiley, IEEE, MDPI, etc.).
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent academic English, preferably supported by IELTS ≥ 6.0 or TOEFL iBT equivalent (60–78).
  • International Diversity: Candidates affiliated with globally ranked universities (QS/THE/ARWU) are highly encouraged to apply.
